What, Why and Who? An introduction to A-POP-ism

What?

A-POP-ism is a blog dedicated to any music out of Asia that I like. This is primarily K-pop, and J-pop, with occasional Chinese and Taiwan music mixed in. I might even blog about Dramas if I'm feeling weird. The blog is strictly my own opinion, I don't like every song and I will make my opinions very clear. 

Why?

I started a blog because I enjoyed reading other people's and commenting on their stories. I realized that I enjoy putting my own opinion out there. 

Another big reason as to why I'm starting a blog is purely K-pop related. Frequent K-pop forums and sites such as Netizenbuzz, and you will undoubtedly come across the shallow, toxic fans who plague discussions with their entitlement and hypocrisy. These are the same people who escalated a simple fight over twitter into a huge witch hunt that almost ruined the careers of T-ara. What's worse is that their opinion are listened to and they are pandered to by the Korean media. During the "bullying" scandal T-ara had their endorsement contracts pulled, their drama characters written off and subsequently disappeared of the face of the earth for more than a year. Why? Because a bunch of losers with nothing else to do decided to take confirmation bias and hypocrisy to the next level and start a witch hunt that lasts to this day.

Hence this blog: where I can rant and cuss into the vast emptiness of the Internet about these people. 

Who?

I'm just a British guy on the Internet who is absolutely obsessed with music, Asian or otherwise. I don't have any technical knowhow or anything that would make my opinion more validated or important than others. I just have my taste in music.
